Sexual Harassment Training Illinois

Starting July 1, 2020, Illinois companies with 1 employee or more will need to comply with Illinois law which requires companies to provide annual workplace harassment training on how to recognize and prevent sexual harassment. Companies that are not in compliance may be faced with having to pay large fines. To be in compliance, the sexual harassment training must include definitions describing sexual harassment, explain state and federal laws pertaining to sexual harassment, the employees rights in regard to workplace harassment, examples of workplace conduct that is unlawful, examples of conduct that is appropriate and inappropriate for supervisors, what remedies are available to Illinois employees, and the responsibilities of Illinois companies in regard to properly handling workplace harassment claims.
